Week 4 – Andy & Amy’ Wedding

This weekend was the wedding of Andy and Amy. I was busy being an usher so didn't spend a lot of time with my camera although I did manage to get a few shots for this weeks post.

Unsurprisingly they are of our little girl who was a flow girl. Unfortunately by the time I got hold of my camera she has eaten and destroyed her flowers and stopped wearing her hair band, I'm sure Sarah got some when she was at her cutest!

Week 3 – Porth Dafarch

This weeks photo is an HDR one taken at Porth Dafarch on Angelesey whilst at the Angelsey Sea Kayak Symposium with Desperate Measures. It comprises of 10 exposures ranging from 1/2000 through to 1/30 all at f/4.5.

It was nice to get out on the water in nice, albeit rather windy, weather. Over the weekend I had the chance to paddle a few sea kayaks in the bays around Porth Dafarch including the brand new Valley Etain and the Northshore Atlantic. I won't pretend to be a good enough sea kayaker to provide a full review of either boat but they were both good fun paddling around the rocks and bays of the Anglesey coast and if you are after a new boat then they are worth considering.

Week 2 – Paddling Pool

All this nice weather meant we got Caitlin's paddling pool out a few days in a row. Getting pictures of Caitlin is quite difficult if she know you are there so I felt like the paparazzi getting these.

Must remember not to cut her head of in future though!

Week 1 – Playing in the Park

For the first week of my project I decided to take some pictures of my little girl in the park. She mostly refused to stay still for long enough to take any photo's let alone any good ones!

She finally stayed still on the roundabout but would only smile when there wasn't a camera pointed at her. Puts her grumpy looking school photograph into perspective … if I can't get her to smile for the camera how is a random school photographer going to manage it!

This look was combined with the response 'No Daddy' when asked to smile for the camera!

She did finally smile on the 'boingy seesaw thingy' but needed a Gan Gan to stop her falling off the back when she got over excited! I didn't get any more photos due to the need to be ready to catch her at all times. Turns out she thinks she is now big enough for the big swings, the big slide and the big climbing frame … all without any grown up help!

Project 52 – Starts Here

So this week I am going to start taking 1 picture or 1 set of pictures a week and posting them here. The plan is to be done and post up every Sunday so the first set of photos should be here on Sunday (24th April 2011). I don't know what it will be yet, but am going out for a wander at lunchtime for some inspiration.

Photomatix is Magic

I shall be getting a copy when I have some money! This is a HDR image that I took in Italy. It is greatly lacking in 'shadows' detail for the sky (I think anyway) but still comes out quite well (I think!).
